Keve Wilson, Oboe

Oboist Keve Wilson is a graduate of The Eastman School of Music, a winner of Concert Artists Guild, and solo oboist with the Grammy nominated Absolute Ensemble, where she has performed everywhere from Greece to Dubai to New Zealand. Former oboist of Opera Pacific in Los Angeles, Keve can be heard on film and television scores, and has played many world premieres, including “After Hearing Bach” by Peter Schikele. Keve has played in the orchestra pits of five Broadway shows, the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast, and in October of 2013, she starts work as the oboist in the Broadway show “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” at the Walter Kerr Theater. Keve can be heard on Stephen Sondheim’s 2013 cast recording of the musical “Passion” and on the 2012 Grammy Nominated album “Alma Adentro” with Miguel Zenon. She recently returned from tours to South Korea, Germany, and South Africa. She has given her popular master class “So you want to be a freelancer?” to such institutions as Manhattan School of Music, Eastman, SUNY Fredonia, Crane, NYU and Northwestern University. Also a pianist and former dancer, Keve is originally from Hyde Park and currently lives in her favorite city of New York with her husband and two Portuguese water dogs.
