Featuring members of the American Modern Ensemble, Winter takes a witty and delicious turn with On Site Opera’s new production of Jim Luigs and Scott Warrender’s Das Barbecü at Hill Country Barbecue Market in the Flatiron District. A nod to Wagner’s Ring Cycle merged with a comedic Texas fable, the songbook ranges from Broadway to Texas swing, from jazz to twangy country and western as mismatched lovers meet on the day of their double shotgun wedding with five actors playing more than 30 outrageous characters at breakneck speed.
Dinner seating – $95 (includes family style BBQ dinner)
Bar seating – $60 (does not include food)
A full cash bar is available with all seating sections.

Audience in “Dinner Seating” will be seated in chairs at long tables for the duration of the performance. Dinner will be served family-style at each table, including vegetarian options. Non-alcoholic beverages included. Be prepared to share with your table mates!
Audience in “Bar Seating” will be seated on bar stools for the duration of the performance.
Performers will move throughout the space, including all sides of the audience.
There will be minimal audience interaction.
